Agitation Free

After the re-release of both AGITATION FREE studio albums "Malesch" and "2nd" and the collector´s items "Last" and "Live ´74", SPV publishes the last both albums of the AGITATION FREE-Serie – "Fragments" and "River Of Return".

As on the preceding re-releases, these both albums were also digitally remastered. Whereas "Fragment" once again dives deep in the history, "River Of Return" is the new edition of the reunion album recorded 1999.

On "River Of Return" the group reunited after a 25 year long break with all the original members in 1999.

Agitation Free again surprised their fans with a contemporary crossover between rock, jazz and meditative elements on a very high level.
With this timeless and extremely interesting musical sound the band once again proved its exposed position in the German music scene.
The original members Lutz Ulbrich, Gustl Lütjens, Michael Günther and Burghard Rausch this time had gathered under the producer´s direction of "Potsch" Potschka (Spliff) to go back where they had stopped 25 years before.
You can hear the "old spirit" of the seventies, revived with the possibilities of today.
The fascinating sessions originated eight pieces of music, which could not be more different, although there are deeply connected in spirit.
AGITATION FREE were supported by former "Spliff" guitarists Potschka, Alto Pappert, the former saxophonist of "Kraan", Chris Dehler and "Koma" (Ex-“17 Hippies”)
The bonus material is a rock out take of the sessions of "River Of Return" and a live version of "First Communication" (originally on "Second" – also out on SPV) from a live recording from Moers from February, 1972.
