The late Keith Whitley was probably the finest honky-tonk singer of country music’s modern era and none have come close to matching the pathos, soul and emotion that was Whitley’s very own. In his lifetime Keith Whitley never received the media hype of say Randy Travis, George Strait or Garth Brooks, but quietly he had made his mark as one of the New Country Movement’s greatest talents. He charted nineteen singles on the Billboard country charts, including five consecutive Number Ones: ‘Don´t Close Your Eyes’, ‘When You Say Nothing at All’, ‘I´m No Stranger to the Rain’, ‘I Wonder Do You Think of Me’ and ‘It Ain’t Nothin’’.
